  • Warm-up: Writing critique of use of text evidence and flow in a sample student piece
  • Ways to use evidence: summarizing, paraphrasing, and quoting 
  • Practice Sheet

Homework:
  • P. 9 of the workbook, prompt--Answer the prompt using a variety of types of text evidence.  Make sure to introduce your evidence properly.  Your response should end up being a long paragraph in length.  You do not need to include a mention of the rhetorical devices unless you feel confident doing so based on past years.
