Words in the Wild: Tone List 1

Agenda:

  • Warm-up: Define ten of the words from the list that you do not know.  Start with the bolded words and go on to the others if you do not have enough.  Once defined, determine if the words have a positive, negative, or no connotation.
  • Writing Prompt: Write a story for the provided image.  This activity is due before you leave.

Homework:
  • ICE edits due tomorrow for sample from the Penn State handout
  • 3/15--Tone List #1 on the vocab site should be to 50%
  • 3/22--Paper revisions due/last chance to hand in paper
