• Blog: Analysis of simile, metaphor, and personification in a chosen song

Pick a song.  Write the title and artist at the beginning of your entry. (Pick a school-appropriate song or a clean version of a song.)

Copy the lyrics.  Paste them here in your journal.

Identify examples of simile, metaphor, and personification that you can.  (If you can’t find anything, try a different song that seems more figurative or deeper.)  Copy and paste these AFTER your lyrics.

In a couple of sentences, explain how the figurative devices (simile, metaphor, personification) help to get across the artist’s point.
